You can also incorporate comments, permalinking, categories, tags and RSS. You can even drop in images and video. Very nifty. These blogs are all built with RapidWeaver's built-in blog tool.

My only complaint about the blog tool is that the actual blogging window - the place I would normally be typing this text (but I'm not, as you'll see in a moment) - is too small. It only accomodates about 3 lines of text. This isn't much use for editing longer blog entries, checking out the physical appearance of text, etc. Some of us care about those things.

So this entry is being written in BBEdit from Bare Bones Software. BBEdit is the premier coding tool for the Mac, supporting not only html in all (well, okay "most") of its incarnations, but also perl, java and other popular languages 'net languages. (The list of supported languages includes not only implementations of C and C++, but two versions of Fortran, several iterations of SQL, Unix shell script and many other languages that I don't speak.)

I believe that it is also possible to blog using MarsEdit, a nifty blogging app from red sweater software. Once I figure out how, I'll post the info.
